People & Lifestyle

A relatively small town with a significant focus on tourism, housing costs in Lake Arrowhead are substantially higher than most places in the country. That said, compared to some of the most expensive, affluent communities in California, Lake Arrowhead is on the more affordable end of the spectrum. Residents in this diverse community typically work in sales, with telecommuters making up a large portion of the workforce.

A popular vacation destination, many residents own vacation homes and are only in-town during certain seasons. Lake Arrowhead typically becomes much busier and more lively during the vacation season. When the season ends, people leave behind a much quieter town. In fact, the quiet and peaceful atmosphere is one of the community's more attractive attributes.

Cedar Glen and Town Center are two of Lake Arrowhead's most popular neighborhoods.
